Weir Estate Residents Association are delighted to announce that following almost three years of work, the Weir Community Garden is now complete.
The garden will be officially opened by our newly re-elected London Assembly Member, Val Shawcross, on Saturday 7th July, from 12noon at the Weir Community Garden, Anfield Close, Weir Estate, SW12 0NT.
Back in October 2009, the association agreed proposals for the disused derelict site, to be turned into a community garden; and then in February 2011 we appointed Touchwood Trees to put their design into reality. Now, we have a fantastic community space for all the family to enjoy.
