Welcome from the Chair
Welcome, I hope you are, or will be enjoying our wonderful website which is here to give residents and those in the surrounding area, an insight into what WERA is currently achieving for our residents and community on Weir Estate. Along with the latest news, loads of useful contacts and all the events which may be of interest to those living in our community. The website is going from strength to strength. Technology and the internet is at the forefront in today’s modern society and we can use this site to make it easier to keep residents and local people involved, up to date and interact with quickly and efficiently.
We of course are constantly adding great news stories but one of certainly my favourite sections is our new WERA Asks Section. This has proven a fantastic new addition to the site and we have already had some wonderful responses from those who are responsible for our Estate as well as those we work with on a regular basis. This gives you the opportunity to learn more about those who make the decisions whether they be political or changes to way services work. This is also designed to build relations with those who are in Lambeth and London.
As a resident of the estate myself and Lambeth born and bred I take pride in the area in which we live and seek to develop the community. This of course is where the Weir Estate Residents Association plays a valuable part. This site is a great way to deliver the best possible service and assistance to residents. I hope after have a look around wera.org.uk you will be as equally impressed as I am. Its a wonderful community site that has seen great numbers of visitors to our website increase. This is testament to the great work being put in to keep our website fresh and informative.
As always, success has never been achieved by one person, the best results come from people working together and great communication. As always I would urge residents to get involved. We are
all volunteers and I take my position as Chair to be an honour but we need the input and support of residents. Your voice matters, make it heard.
Together we can make changes that ensure residents and visitors to the estate enjoy being part of our community.
Have a look around and please feel free to contact us with your views and comments, I hope you enjoy our website and hope residents will take part in the future of WERA and help to change the estate in which we live and of course we welcome your input with our website, if you have any news or information just send it over or questions you would like to ask those being interviewed in the WERA Asks. You matter and we need your input. Remember without you and our community, change can not and will not happen. Lets make things better. Enjoy the rest of your visit to our wonderful website.
