Weir Estate Residents Association – Annual General Meeting 2012
Weir Estate Residents Association will be holding the Annual General Meeting on:

Tuesday, 21^st February 2012, 7pm to 9pm
at The Weir Link, 33 Weir Road, London SW12 0NU

This meeting and election of officers is a very important part of securing the future of Weir Estate Residents Association and the future of our estate in what will be continuing tough times of change and hardship for everyone living on a council estate, and obtaining local council services. Government and local authority cuts are continuing, and this year could prove to be tougher following last year’s cuts.

Associations like ours are at the forefront of fighting for your rights as part of these government changes, with Lambeth council adopting the co-operative council model, and central governments, ‘Big Society’ programme.

If you come along and get involved, you can help to ensure that we can continue to improve your homes, your estate and your community; help to make Weir Estate a safer, cleaner and better estate.

Please do not miss this meeting and think someone else will speak for you, this meeting is your chance to help set the priorities to be tackled for the year ahead, and elect the right people to manage the association.

This meeting is very important and we encourage your participation at this and future meetings.

Please attend and make sure your views are heard. This will be a very exciting year ahead for all on the estate, with the completion of the Weir Community Garden; and your involvement in this meeting and the future of WERA will ensure we can continue to do major projects such as this.

The agenda will be available at the meeting and available online on our website www.wera.org.uk, in the week prior to the meeting.

Our annual report will be published on 21^st February 2012, the date of the Annual General Meeting, and will be available at the meeting, as well as being available online; residents who are not able to attend the meeting, can request a copy by writing to us at the address (or email) overleaf.
